Provision of water supply through boreholes construction, sanitation and hygiene promotion through construction of sanitary facilities especially in public places, mobilization and education services in rural areas through formation of water sanitation and hygiene committees in the rural areas (WASHCOMS).Our Mission:

To prevent the spread of disease through provision of safe water drinking water, safe excreta disposal and hygiene promo-tion activities to the rural peoples.
About Gombe State RUWASSA
Gombe State Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Agency (RUWASSA)is a state government institution established as Gombe State UNICEF Assisted Water and Environmental Sanitation Project (WATSAN) in October 1999. The mandate of the project is to provide safe drinking water and basic sanitation and hygiene through affordable, accepta-ble . On the 6th May, 2016 a bill was sign in to law by His Excellency the executive Governor of Gombe State Alh. Ibrahim Hassan Dankwanbo (OON) Talban Gombe who upgraded the statue of the institution from a project to full government agency, which is now known as Gombe State Rural Water and Sanitation Agency (RUWASSA) with the same mandate. The agency is headed by general manager, it has six (6) department headed by assistant general managers i.e- >> Water Supply Department
